Hello all!
Happy Summer! There are just a few things to update for the week. First up, some housekeeping! If you are the parent of a recent grad, (congratulations!) and you would like to be removed from our mailing list, please let me know.
Secondly, there is a meeting for new marchers on Wednesday, June 11 at 7pm at the high school. We will have some summer uniforms there to help with sizing, and go over the band packet. If you know anyone who is new, please pass this along.
Thirdly, the summer band picnic for current students, new students, and parents is this Friday, June 13 at the large pavilion in the North Olmsted City Park. Please come join us for food and fun. Hotdogs and drinks will be provided, but we would love it if you could bring a dish to share! There is always potential for a softball game, so if you are interested please bring a glove, bat, etc. The picnic is from 6:30-9:00 pm.
Lastly, we had a horrendous time collecting fees this year. As a courtesy, I ask that if you still have outstanding fees for the 2013-2014 school year for marching band or orchestra please remit them to the high school c/o NOBOB as soon as possible. The people with overdue balances should have received a letter in the mail in May stating the amount still owed. These fees pay for the dry cleaning of the uniforms and tuxedos. Other outstanding balances could be due to fundraising money uncollected, or uniform pieces that were ordered and delivered but never paid for. If you have received a letter and have questions or concerns, please contact me.
