Happy Summer!
I hope everyone is enjoying their time off. I am, but as usual, I feel it is fleeting and moving by too quickly. It is that time of year where we need to start thinking about band camp and the help we will need to get our students ready. I’m going to provide a list of dates and functions that we will need volunteers for, and if you are willing and able to help out at any or all of these, that would be AWESOME. There is no experience needed for any of these items, and all help is always appreciated.
July 30- 12-6pm Freshman and Leadership fitting. We will need help fitting all the freshman and senior leadership for marching uniforms for the fall. As many hands as can help is great.
July 31 12-6 pm Sophomore and Junior refitting. We need the remaining marchers to try on their uniforms to refit those that have grown.
August 4-8th 8-5 pm Parents needed to be on hand at band camp to help with water. Additional parents needed to sew marching uniforms. We hem the jacket sleeves and pants legs for every student in the band. We also repair any buttons and minor tears to uniforms. Minimal sewing skills are needed.
August 8th- Dinner after band camp in the cafeteria. We will be serving the students dinner and will need help setting up, serving, and cleaning up.
August 11- Picture day. We need help organizing students, taking payments, and completing paperwork.
