Eagle Marching Band Members and Parents,
Thank you for your hard work this last week at Band Camp.
There have been a couple changes to the schedule this week because of the arrival of our new Marching Uniforms!!
Tomorrow (Monday, 8/14) we will be at the school from 8am-11:30am. From 8am-9:30 we will be taking the group photo and any individual shots you would like to purchase from Lifetouch Photography. At around 9:30 (or whenever photos are done) we will begin rehearsing until 11:00am.
Students need to be in full summer uniform for pictures. (orange shirt, black shorts, black socks, black marching shoes) If you do not yet have the marching shoes, then wear something you can march in, if you have black shoes, that would be helpful. The shoes should be in this week.
Wednesday is a normal 8am-12pm rehearsal as is on the schedule
Thursday is for all non-freshmen members. Freshmen, go to freshmen orientation.
Friday from 8am-10:30am will be button pictures in our new uniforms. These are pictures that students/parents can purchase from NOBOB. We will also be taking section pictures and Senior Banner Pictures. From 10:30am-12pm will be a rehearsal, so bring a change of clothes to march in.
All freshmen and anyone else who is available need to stay after Wednesday’s rehearsal to try on the new uniform, to make sure they fit. They were custom made for each student based on measurements taken last year, we want to make sure there are no adjustments needed.
If you cannot get fitted on Wednesday, everyone else needs to try on uniforms after the Thursday morning performance (freshmen are at orientation)
We want everyone to have put on their uniforms at least once prior to Friday’s button pictures. This will speed up the process on Friday.
If you wish to purchase individual shots from Lifetouch photography there will be a makeup photo day on Wednesday August 30th from 4:00pm-6:00pm. This is an opportunity for the students to get pictures in their new uniforms through Lifetouch.
I have updated the season schedule. Please get rid of any old ones. You can obtain a new version at this link, or on the eaglemusic.org home page. Notice the change of venue for certain football games, as well as we are no longer performing at the Parma Band Spectacular, we are now performing at the Lakewood Band Show because of the conflict with Homecoming.
Also we have been invited on Oct. 6th to appear on Fox 8 News in the morning “Kickin’ it with Kenny” It is an early morning inspection, however we get to be televised and perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! It should be a great day for the band.
