Keep in mind that trips are completely outside of the normal school schedule (typically occurring during Spring Break) and trips are not part of any classroom grade or requirement. Trips are costly, and generally require parents and students to perform fund raising activities to cover the cost of the trip.
The School Board does not fund the trip, but any trip requires the approval of the School Board and Superintendent to make sure it is related to the curriculum and offers substantial educational opportunities.
Trips are not guaranteed to be offered, and the School Board can elect not to approve any trip.
