At the start of the school year, students who are enrolled in the band course will be part of a Concert Band. Students are assigned to one of two groups based upon their audition that occurs in the first few weeks of school.
- The Symphonic Band serves to develop young musicians skills and understanding of music to prepare them to take the next step of musicianship.
- The Wind Ensemble is comprised of the most advanced wind and percussion musicians at NOHS. Both ensembles strive to perform music of the highest quality at difficulty levels that are appropriate for the student-musicians in the group.
A high level of musicality is the goal for all of our groups.
